I've cleaned records with all three. The two more upscale ones dry the record, and they look and work a lot slicker. They also keep the fluid/water cleaner as you go because they filter it.
The less expensive one, the one you are looking at, holds more than one record. You already know that. The other difference is that a finished record is more polished in appearance with the other two. I would assume they clean better from that, but the $1500 unit gets the records very, very clean.
It is necessary to run two cycles with any of the three, if the records are particularly dirty.
They all do the job, but the classier ones do it classier. Then again, a Porsche is faster than a Camry, so the extra cost of it should make some difference.
I hope this is some help.

I saw David hawking this unit at the Capital Audiofest. He's added a filter to the unit, so that may take care of one of your concerns.
