I got something like 5K for the table from vintage Knob..2500 for the motor and the rest for the other stuff. so adjusted for inflation about 12K...and allowing to market on the cachet...say 20K and you make some dough :).

Vinyl Engine was my startig point price-wise.
Not a big discrepancy... the point is that Panasonic/ Matsushita could produce a top flight table for less than 20K. And using the Technics name and the SP 10 label would sell very well.

I just wanted to know how you go about accounting for inflation.
I guess you are satisfied with your number, especially once you express it as a cap.
I don't think the market is there to have a large Japanese concern restart production of such a product no matter how great it was, which is a shame though as their designs and their build quality were exemplary.
