Group;
The link below will take you to a YouTube video I recorded on the step-by-step process I use to clean my records. I know a few videos are out there; but I wanted to show a method that I like in great detail...much more than most others....
...I post it here as I have, over the many years, received such great advice and hope I can share this piece back with you all. The Asylum is a wonderful group to know !

Man your treatment is kids gloves compared to mine.
Use a diskwasher to remove surface dust both sides.
My cleaning brushes are the original VPI vinyl ones, they are relatively stiff and I apply pressure for 4-5 rotations for both fluids.
The first cleaning fluid does't get vacuumed at all, rather I use automotive quality microfibre cloth with good pressure to mop up and deep clean .... then dinse (1 part alcohol 2 parts distilled)/brush ... then vacuum.
Dodging bullets is the next best thing to not having to.
.
Nicely done!
Two things you might want to consider.
1. I like to remove the heavy dust and crap with a Hunt brush or equivalent prior to the cleaning process. There's no reason to dissolve that stuff and grind it into the grooves.
2. Some people use a second mat that is removed when doing the 2nd side. That way the dirt that was on the second side isn't transferred to the side you just cleaned.
Cheers,
Jack
All valid points.......thanks for sharing the insights with us all.....everything only builds up our knowledge further.

Thanks for sharing. I like your method of putting the record inner sleeve between the outer sleeve and jacket. I do this on some of my records. I basically follow your method, with one additional step. After I vacuum the solution off the record, I change the Vac wand to Vacuum the distilled water. In other words, I have an extra Vac wand, one for the solution, one for H20. I use a VPI 16.5, Disc Doctor brushes, Hunt mk 6 brush for dry cleaning, Audio Intelligent #6 and distilled water.
