I know this was talked about a while back and the late Allen Wright chimed in on it.
Has anyone here took the leap of "Faith" and just tried it?
If so, what were your results?
I have been happy with the Technics Baerwald Arc protractor but just wanted know what others results were with the Guru Protractor because I wanted to try on my next table setup.
Thanks
Follow Ups:
I have tried the Guru alignment twice and have never enjoyed any of the results!
My Cart-a-lign always seems to give me an excellent audible outcome.
The exposed stylus on my new-to-me cart makes alignment very easy.

I had just came across those treads yesterday so I was just wondering if this was a better way and what some fellow VA members results were that had tried it.
From the Graphs it sure doesn't look good. I will just stay with what I already have and am enjoying.
It has nothing to do with "faith" and everything to do with "geometry." Brian Kearns developed the equation for determining the null-point alignment of the Guru Protractor, which spreads the null-points apart thereby producing excessive tracking error distortion in-between the null-points as well as in the inner groove area. It's a horrible alignment. The following graphs compare the Guru Alignment to Löfgren A.
and reply. I really appreciate it.
Like I said in my OP I'm very happy with the latest Setup using the Technics Baerwald Arc protractor.
I have a question for you if you don't mind? When setting up your table, Do you use headphones to tweak or dial in your final settings when all VTA, VTF and Antiskate all click together and you have that wonderful sound you know that's it and your done?
Thanks
No!
