I know this has been done before (and not so long ago, IIRC), but I feel it bears updating every once in a while-
What music do you wish were re-issued again?
Of course, as part of the qualifier to that questions, by "re-issue", I of course mean cleaned up and mastered by someone who knows what they are doing (e.g. Stan Ricker, Bernie Grundman, etc), and not just an anonymous crap-shoot deal such as Sony/BMG (or insert your least favorite, we're only in it to capitalize on what we think is a trend) have done...
The one and only disc that I am wishing someone would pull out the stops and give the treatment to is "Dafos" from Reference Recordings (RR-12). Maybe that is a little too audiophile or boring for some, but that has been MY number one pick for a great while.
What would YOU put out as YOUR Holy Grail Record that hasn't been done yet?

Reelsmith's Rare Earth suggestion jogged my brain. I only have a poor copy, and frankly haven't seen one in a bin in awhile.
It is one album I love to listen to wide open! along with Nils Lofgren's Night after Night and Deep Purple Smoke on the Water........
Mountain- Leslie West was their guitarist, right?
I'm not that familiar with either, but can recognize his guitar playing pretty much anywhere! A long gone friend of mine introduced me to West (and Robin Trower) back in the day!
West was great (and I also remember Trower as kind of like a thicker-sounding version of the live Hendrix sound!
Sorry for the ramble...

Not sure if it can be made better though. I have an early release. Todd did his own thing with recordings. I recorded the live version from the VHS tape onto my PC and then a CD but lost it, that sounded better.
The entire Pink Floyd catalog from the analog tapes.
The entire Bob Marley catolog ditto.

Jimmy Buffet Volcano and Changes in Latitudes
Little Feat Last Record Album
Rush--first 4 studio albums
Just off the top of my head....
Well, As far as I know, Rush's 4th LP, 2112, was done by MoFi quite a long time ago (late 80's perhaps? I remember seeing the ads). I think that would still qualify (along with the other three!).

My personal favorite of all Steely Dan albums. We get "Aja" ad nauseum, but not this one.
was the most prominent Dutch post-war jazz guitarist. I have ca. 6 WO records. Probably there are CD reissues, don't know. But he's almost absent on Spotify apart from a few recordings with pianist Pim Jacobs and lady singer Rita Reys.
Although his studio recordings are mostly easy-listening and not representative of what he did live(and i've seen him live), IMHO it's sad musicians like this are forgotten.
If all this wasn't enough, he also was the teacher of the next generation of Dutch jazz guitarists, Jesse van Ruller and Maarten van der Grinten.
Most of my records can be found on Youtube and Spotify, but not all of them. In this case vinyl is the keeper of the music.

I want all these to be mastered only by their original labels, in their original home country.
No boutique label remastering shits please.
Randy Newman's Faust to be released by Warner USA
Lindsey Buckingham's Out of the Cradle by Warner USA
Desperado OST by Sony USA
From Dusk till Dawn OST by Sony USA
Leonard Cohen's The Future by Sony USA
Tito Larriva and the Tarantula's debut album by original label
Round Up by Telarc
Country, Rhythm, and blues by MCA
The Chiefans"The Long Black Veil by Sony/BMG in the EU.
I've upgraded my copy enough times that I am pleased with the one I have. But, to have a better one would float my boat big time.
It'll never be reissued. Its not an album enough (any) people care about.

great music but the records leave a lot to be desired. I think there is more on the master tapes than made it to the albums.

I did get Exodus when it came out. Great job, IMHO. Some people don't like the mastering MoFi does, but they did an awesome job on those...

I just re-listened to all of her releases after getting her newest one. Great stuff.
Is Ophelia available on vinyl? because I have not been able to find it anywhere.

I have both and CD. While they are excellent (HDCD no less), they probably would be killer on LP. I thought they were released on vinyl already, but I'm probably thinking of "Sea Change" instead.

Both Midnight Vultures and Mutations have been released on vinyl. Search them out. Not cheap though.
Here are the Beck albums I've accumulated over the years. The Information box set is something to behold.
Man, I missed a lot of newer stuff, due sole to the fact I went through a nasty divorce about 7 years ago, complete with its appropriate priority shift. Beck's stuff has almost always come out on vinyl, so that is the only reason I missed it!

My "Tales" is the yellow import. Side 1 is great. Side two is noisy. Probably a bad pressing.
Never released on vinyl at all. Would love to hear The Ballad OF Hollis Brown from the master tape. Oh wait, the 1991 album was probably mastered digitalllllly.
Ask me about the Yamaha Silent Brass
It is one of few CDs I own and I've only heard it in my car. I'd really like to have it on vinyl.

I had that … magnus opus for years.
Dunno what happened to my original tres audiophile pressing, but, somehow, it flew the coop. Or coupé for the auto-minded.
Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?
I also had that record from the magazine!
... from beneath the clear plastic “grooves sheet.”
When I moved from home, I left it – along with all of my childhood stuff – in my bedroom at my parents’ house.
Somehow ... time just ... passes. And nifty little thingies go missing.
I also had a plastic soundsheet recording of a Jimi Hendrix tune from several years later. I don't remember if it was an insert in “Guitar Player” magazine or ???
Happy to see that you’re keeping Potrzebie alive.

cleaned up in quality vinyl. I would pay the price for that...
if Vinyl is not an option, how about SACD?

True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.
quote by Kurt Vonnegut
I love the music, especially the original music for the fictitious band "The Stray Cats". I generally like anything with Dave Edmunds. Speaking of soundtracks, I'd love to see the original cast album of "Jesus Christ Superstar" remixed, remastered and released on vinyl. Ian Gillans "Gethsemane" alone would be worth the effort.
"Hope is a good thing. Maybe, the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."
Dave Alvin's King Of California. I've loved this album for twenty years and would love to see a quality vinyl issue.

The Wind-Warren Zevon? Or, if I missed it and can't find one anywhere, a re-issue.

Any vinyl reissue of Jimmy Buffett. Chris Issak (especially Baja Sessions) would be most welcome as well....
