....a 3 and a 6.....one for stereo and the other for mono.....a must in my household!!
Regas outclass those other makers mentioned because of a very obvious fact.....Rega tonearms outclass any other arm even close in that price range. The only way I could graduate to another level was with the $4500.00 Graham 2.2/IC-70 combo. For a number of years, no other (yes, that includes SME-Vs) could touch those Grahams for etched detail and the sense of air.
I never had the chance to listen to a Schroeder.

Just recently picked up a RP6 and have no wall to mount it on so was wondering how to isolate it as well as possible.
Thanks!
Here's how I do it. I didn't figure out this configuration for quite some time. It seems I could dance on the turntable without any audible feedback. I'm using a sand-wich isolator with inverted cones.
Here's my way. 3" Maple block, raquetballs, and furniture leg cups.
See ya. Dave
I've had one of these Mapleshade solid 4" maple blocks since 2003 when I had my monster Clearaudio Master Solution (seen in my pic gallery)....then it went under my Nottingham in 2007. Now I've simplified my life with the two Regas......adding the 2nd Mapleshade block....notice the difference in wood color. Coupled with the brass cones that dig into the wood developing a warm tone to the sound, I get incredible isolation. This brings out detail and stage imagery like nothing else I've tried. Like an earlier pic of the Master Solution in my gallery with the metal isolation platform.......the move to wood improved tone.
If you're in a situation where you have a wood suspended floor.....sorry....you will have to find a space on your wall for a mount. If you don't have a space.....make one!
