I'm really looking forward to trying it out in mine. I was wondering if by any chance you measured the heater voltages before and after swapping in the Mazda?

Just for the record, I didn't see any change in heater voltage after swapping in the Mazda rectifier tube (6.05V before and after). I haven't noticed a world of difference yet with the new tube, but I've only listened to one record.
Is the 5Y3GB the same as the 5Y3GT?I have a Clarinet line stage and wonder if the Mazda 5Y3GB would be a improvement.
Yes that's the same transition, I'm trying. Did you build your Clarinet? I'm no expert, but based on the guys at the Hagerman site on AudioCircle, it's possible that the different tubes will affect the tube heater voltages differently, either moving them closer to or further away from where they should be. On the Cornet 2 the 12AX7's and 12AU7 I believe should be around 6.2V. If you have the time and know-how you may want to check these before and after making the switch.
