Thanks Opus, just joined, fairly new Classic II owner.

Well thank god we chased away Harry and that Road Runner/Phoenix guy. What we really need around here is fewer experts in their products and more opinions; often of things they have never heard. Good work guys. Soon it will be just a couple of you so called experts yelling back and forth.
I know I can't wait to read another SL-1200/ DL-103 thread!
"Hope is a good thing. Maybe, the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."
I can understand your position completely. The beauty of freedom is that you can read the posts that interest you and ignore the ones that don't. You also have the freedom to go elsewhere if it gets too uncomfortable for you here. As for me, I truly enjoy reading posts about the SL-1200 and the DL-103. Maybe it's because I own both.
Best regards,
John Elison
That's an interesting take on freedom. I'll go a bit further and point out that, if having options in life is what freedom is all about, then he with the most options has the most freedom. Because of your emotional needs, you have run off a resource, an option that others on this forum greatly valued.
The thing about freedom is, just because you have the right to behave poorly doesn't make your choice to behave poorly the right one. One less resource for this forum depletes its value. I will certainly be spending less time here and more time on other forums where a greater variety of product is discussed among those who appreciate them and the men who create them. I prefer appreciation to contempt.

I don't know whether you'll get a greater variety of product discussions, but I certainly wish you happiness and prosperity.
Best regards,
John Elison

Where are these other forums that can't get enough of Ellison's thoughts on Technics and Denon? Personally, I find those topics as compelling as how Ellison hears no difference between his cd copies of records and the records themselves. Just gripping.

You should have attended Mikel's analog/digital challenge in 2007. You would have gotten to hear my CD copies of vinyl on a multi-hundred thousand dollar stereo stystem when I reproduced the sound of Mikel's Rockport Sirius III turntable with van den Hul Colibri cartridge. It was pretty exciting .
I must have made a substantial impression on you. ;-)
