Unless you figured it in the price, you will recoup $1,000 to $1,200 for the used table and arm so that will bring it much closer. If your scout has the frosted platter, the step to the aluminum will make a big difference. Also, I just upgraded from a first generation JMW 12.0 arm to a 12.7 and have heard a huge difference so the new arm will probably be an improvement. I love my zu cartridge, but am not sure it is the best mate to the JMW arm that I have. The Dyna should be a better match. Go for it.

I do not know what has been done to the JMW 12.7, but I know that the arm makes a huge difference in sound.
It's a pity that a cartridge cost so much these days. I remember when a 20X was 500 bucks. :/
