it really is a nice cartridge. It's all that the reviewers say it is...even a hyperbolic Art Dudley. It really is a major upgrade over my Denon DL-103. It sounds great on my Technics SL-1200 Mk 2. Really easy to set up.Spinning some favorites this afternoon to check it out. I Musici/ The Four Seasons, Ray Brown/Soular Energy, Magical Mystery Tour(Horzu), Taj Mahal/Oooh So Good N So Blues, and Abbey Road all sound great. This is a really musical cartridge that substantially ups the ante over the stock DL-103. The bass has a kick and a clarity that the stock cartridge lacks, and the music just moves and swings better. The midrange retains the musicality of its progenitor but with more detail, transparency, fullness, and better imaging. The highs are there, sweet and extended, and do wonders for well recorded cymbals and violins. An easy to listen to cartridge, not fatiguing at all, but hard to ignore as it's so colorful, dramatic and involving. I'll acknowledge that I just got the cartridge and set it up today. So far, though, it's love at first listen!

Was this the used Zu Prime from Jaguar? Spotted that one too late...

Not that seller. Regular 2.0% tolerance DL-103.

i have had one for a long time now and really enjoy it as a counterpoint to my regular Lyra. colorful is a very good description. if your regular cart is more on the neutral side, one of these makes a great addition and for the price, i think a very good bargain. my only reservation is that it is very heavy at 14 grams, so not all arms are going to be a perfect match.

On the Technics arm, I have the additional stub weight. Even with that, I still have to back the tone arm weight almost to the end of the arm. It worked as is, but I decided to add a little more weight to the back end via 3 steel washers that had large enough holes to slide over the back of the arm. A little tape wrapped around the arm tube where the washers are to snug them in place (washers over the tape as the washer holes are just a little larger than the diameter of the arm) and it worked pretty well. With that, the main arm weight is much closer to where it would be with the regular DL-103. Easy enough to slip the washers off when I switch to another cartridge.

Yes, I had to add weight too.
