My MoFi copy of Abraxas by Santana has arrived and I wold like to thank everyone that recommended it. Night and day vs the SV (uk pressing) version I have. No contest, as someone else said in my earlier thread. And for under 30 dollars, not crazy money for a dead quiet version of a classic with great sound.
The difference is less with the copy of Santana's first album but still very nice. I have an original pressing of the first album (lion on the cover) which sounds good, but the MoFi has deeper bass and the added option of virgin vinyl with no background clicks and pops that my original suffers from.
Don't usually spend the big bucks on vinyl, but i can see why some guys get carried away!
Follow Ups:
The first album is one of my favorite albums period. I doesn't hurt that I have a MN+ 2-eyed Columbia. I love the songs on Abaxas, but my later pressing doesn't sound that good. I am strongly considering adding the MoFi to my collection!

... and shell out for Abraxas. Haven't heard the first one (does that have Soul Sacrifice on it, or is that later on in the discography?).
*Dman's (and Dwife's) Rule #1The rule (mostly for me, but also for Dwife); I/We, cannot buy any additional albums until the one(s) I've/we've pre-ordered have arrived and are listened to.
So, I'm rather impatiently waiting on the limited edition, numbered double-blue vinyl of the Tron Soundtrack to ship (supposedly this coming Tuesday, but Audio Fidelity has moved the date once on this already).
