I do wish that there was a power LED (suitably dimmed down to sane levels of course). 12AX7s don't give off much visible light -- even with the little window on the front panel it can be difficult to tell whether the MP-P1 has been left on.
(Constructive criticism only... don't let this stop you from buying an MP-P1!)
The light on my Musical Paradise tube DAC is too bright. I may have to do something about that to dim it some.
As for the 12AX7 tubes, In the day.... yes, it will hard to tell if it's on but at night it should be better and there are four of them so may that will help some. I can see the tubes lit from the top on my BAT VK-30 preamp.
I have a DIY preamp that I didn't put a LED for power ON indication. never had a issue with it to let me know it's on or off but I do hear what you're saying
I think it's still a great Deal on a Tube Phono preamp that comes with high quality parts. All the top names that make them and sound good are EXPENSIVE! Just take a look at the BAT VK-P10 or even the lower end ones in the line up! Wow! I heard the VK-10 (Awesome) I wish I could have afforded that one but maybe in another lifetime! :)

You know, this is the very reason for the "Edit" button. I use it all the time because as freely as I use the "Preview" button, I still sometimes find a typo in my messages after posting.
Best regards,

for the help on the pics. :)
I was trying to show the other two Obbligato capacitors that don't show up in the pics on the website. so there are four Obbligato caps instead of two.
This is one heavy sucker too! very nice build quality. not bad for the price! For something in this quality I would have had to paid way more.
I'm very tempted to buy some PSvane TII 12AX7 to put in this since I have been hearing so much about how nice these tubes sound!
I will post back on how it sounds in my system once it has broke in.
