What cart do you suggest?
Is the asking price reasonable?
Many thanks!

New MIC POS. Stay away from it. Also very popular these days are "retro" all-in-one stereo sets with the same crappy tonearm and cartridge. Saw one on a flea market. Grabbed the arm. Never felt so much play in a tone arm. I have been collecting, restoring and selling vintage TT since 2001. Any 70's Dual is way, way better.

Lots of red flags here. First, it says 2014 portable new - which is the truth. Vintage machines of this type didn't sport that style of tonearm. There are all sorts of faux "vintage" Crosley turntables out there, and that is what the company now sporting the name "Crosley" seems to be specializing in. You can see what appears to be the same turntable - without the Peanuts theme and the bright colors - here:

at Amazon for $80.95. This is not a collectible. It may be fun for the kids, and if you have some old LPs you don't mind letting the kids get their hands on, and you don't mind paying almost $70 more than the Amazon offering (that one ships for free), just for the Peanuts theme, well....
RIM drive most likely with a crystal cartridge. The 2 front grill panels suggest stereo but I would not bet the house on it actually being stereo. As for pricing, do not know.
These kiddie photographs were at one time the cat's, actually the kittens, meow. Seemed every preteen of my gen had one well into college. Today I would not want a tube version for a kid but the later ss units might be still "cool". My son is going, well a long distance thing with a girl who has a young daughter. Last year the pair came over the the little one got into the basement and when I played for records her reaction was this new way of listening to music was much better than her iPod. We all smiled and let it go rather than burst her bubble.

Man it's a cutting lathe also! Will wonders ever cease?
And you'll be pissing in the tall grass.
WAY too expensive, unless performance is not important to you. If you want it as a collectible, I don't know.
Crosley was a old time pioneer in radio, now the name is associated with cheap junk

Selling on Amazon for $70 and not worth $7. Another piece of junk made in China for the low information buyer with more money than brains.
