Here's what mine looks like. 1L of OCRVC that I use 30-1. That's considered strong I guess since the label says 60-1 but if like me you buy at thrifts I would say 30-1 is perfect.
Love the stuff and bet paid pittance of what most would spend on fav fluid. ... homebrew? ... that's rinse!

200mL of Ollie's is $40.00 US. 10L of de-ionized water , $28.50. 2 1/2 gallons of cleaner, $70.00.
Cheaper than RLL by far but I know I don't want to rinse with Distilled water which in previous tests put Snap, Crackle and Pop back on a cleaned record. Using De-ionized for rinse eliminates the cost advantage.
I think I'll keep enriching Music Direct.
10 litres of deionised water is less than $10.00 here, not sure why you are paying $28.00.BH

Anyway a 1L of RLL, now sold as MoFi, costs $25, 30L = $750
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Super Record Wash (32 Oz)
Fancy water or not no price comparison. $100 + shipping + distilled water or other stuff and still less than $200.
Some use 40-1 OCRVC so the MoFi cost would be more still.
That's the point, compared to commercial alternatives costs little and many think it works great -- does improve record cleaned, often significantly.
Good stuff. Recommended -- needs rinse so if that is a concern not an option.

I get great results at that rate plus I have a 10-1 mixture for the real grubby thrift store/garage sale purchases. Once I tried OCRVC there was no going back to all the other products I had tried.

and you can get it at the local grocery store. I've noticed no difference between this and more expensive waters, except the price.

That is what the label says. "Distilled" is used just for advertising purposes. I have been using the supermarket product for a few years now with great results and have no intention of paying more for the same results.

RRL (Music Direct) is IMHO without peer, With the RRL wash there is no rinse
necessary or even desired.
Which cleaner are you guys referring to? I don't find any items neither with a RRL search on Music Direct nor looking through their record cleaning products.
RRL is now called Mobile Fidelity, MDs house brand.
I discovered years ago that 2 Super awash applications made a large improvement over one; more recently that Super Deep followed by Wash improved on that.
I think I run about 50:1 on Olly's and it does a great job. Seems to get a bit too soapy to me when mixed heavier, and requires extra work to the rinse cycle. It's barely pink when mixed as I do.
See ya. Dave
Anyone care to contact me off line with Olly/Joe's contact info?
Thanks is advance.
What is OCRVC? I never heard of it.
Mosin you must have been sleeping while on duty as OCRVC has been hotly discussed on this forum for about 6 years. It is without doubt the best record cleaning product I have ever used and believe me I have tried many of the product available along with many different home brews that were recommended.

Tim, I Googled OCRVC and found this link:

Lo and behold this is an Aussie product! :-))
The 3rd post down gives Ollie's email address. (I think I will get some.)
Regards,
Andy
WOW,that's an old post regarding OCRVC. Email address has changed a few times since then but luckily the solution still works as well as it did then.

MS "Outlook" gave me a couple of "Delivery Status Notification (Delay)" msges, so I figured something was wrong.

Joe put some in the mail for me just this past week. Can't wait to get it.
What type of water do you mix it with?
Just plain distilled water. I use same in the rinse which is 1-3 alcohol-distilled water. I was a little shocked where I looked up an old post and found I was using 1/3 isopropyl (iirc) but makes great rinse and if the vacuum leaves fluid waving back and forth evaporates quickly. I also believe it has great antistatic quality as it definitely removes charge from a record and if anything OCRVC would only increase. Add in microfibre cloth to pickup the OCRVC and give a deep clean, followed by rinse and vacuum - great results.

I mostly use OCRVC as well. I mix 40:1 and it seems to do a great job on most second hand records. Occasionally I have to resort to my MOFI Enzyme cleaner, but not nearly as often as when I just used a homebrew water/alcohol/photo flo mix.
I recommend the stuff!
… with the 40:1 for normal cleaning.
I made up a small batch of 10:1 for Truly Nasty Stuff. It almost always takes care of everything.
