Good article..thanks for posting! I have a Rogue ST-90 Super Magnum amp and a Rogue Perseus Magnum preamp - both excellent. I actually went to Rogue's office/factory and met Mark and his crew, and they are exactly as this article says. Nice folks, great audio, fair prices. I haven't checked out a phono stage of theirs yet, but I may have to after reading this!
Would be interesting to hear a shootout. There are those who believe a Cornet2 betters the little Rogue. What would a tricked out Cornet do against an Ares.
System dependent of course, but in lets say three tables in the class of a good VPI with the mentioned 17D3.
No VPI wars please, just choose your table choice in that league.
My Cornet 2 with Obbligato output caps, Schottky diodes, Mills and Kiwame resistors and a buncha other good stuff held up well against the Nova Phenomena and other solid state units.
Couldn't keep up with my current Caravaggio, though. The linked review was with an AT-1005 arm on my VPI HW-19 MKIV which was used to judge all the phono stages mentioned.
Thanks for posting.
Rogue is great stuff.

I was advised to past the link in the URL. Done. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The Ares was among a couple of others I was ready to buy, but I went with a Fosgate.
While I'm happy with my purchase, I noticed a few months later it was no longer being included in any catalogs or online. Mysteriously discontinued and distributor didn't have much of an explanation.
That you can post that in the Optional Link URL below?

Too much of a Rube!
Easy, I am emotionally fragile!
