Hi guys,
AQ did not "dump" Shane, he wanted to branch out and do several other things including consult for Vandersteen Audio and Brinkmann Turntables as well as some other fun yet-to-be revealed projects.
Shane continues to do some special projects for AQ and he remains great friends with all of us here.
We are genuinely thrilled to have Stephen Mejias on board as well! Stephen is a vinyl head like me and a fellow lover of fine IPA brews so he fits right in here. He's one hell of a writer to boot!
Hope this helps clear up any confusion.
Joe

Why must you muddy up our idle speculation with the truth, LOL!
It's interesting that the website link on Shane Buettner's Linkedin page still goes to Audioquest, not his new venture(s).
Also interesting that the OP still has Brinkmann on the home page of his business, Sounds of Silence.
It's still listed on my web site b/c I just got the e-mail today and it will stay on my site until all Brinkmann gear is gone and I can notify customers.
