Thanks.
I put 1/8" tall hard plastic spacers on during lunch today, and I've got the problem with the counterweight hitting the dust cover. I've got some plastic door shims I'm going to use under the back of the cover till I figure out if there's a sonic benifit to raising the VTA.
See ya. Dave
Follow Ups:
I put on in each corner of the plinth these little clear, rubber, round dots. They are self adhesive on one side and are about 2mm thick. Being clear and not too big in diameter (maybe 1cm in dia.)they sit on the top corners of the plinth and the dust cover closed sits on them and no longer touches the counter weight. They can be lift off at a later date if one wishes to.

Being circles, did you have to overhang them over the plinth edges so the thin edges of the dust cover gets good surface contact? I was thinking about adhering them to the underside of the dust cover corners instead of the plinth.

Just a nudge over each edge. You can try the base of the dust cover but I think they may more easily fall off or get knocked off. But it may be worth a try.
Thanks. I'm off and running.
See ya. Dave
