Through a link on a recent thread on VA (a couple weeks ago?) I found these pictures, but I can't find the original post right now. Regardless, at the time I saved them, and I just stumbled across them again.
The link was to pictures of an underground city, in England, built during the Cold War. Most of the pictures were a little "eerie", but these caught my attention:

Hey Jim,Reminds me of the song (and video) "New Frontier" from Donald Fagen's The Night Fly album. Hanging out in the bomb shelter with a pitcher of martinis listening to Brubeck with a hot babe!

I was already a fan of Steely Dan & Donald Fagen, and after spotting the "Time Out" cover in the video back in the 80s, I saw an old 6-eye copy of it at a Salvation Army for a dime. I thought if Fagen liked it, there must be something to it, so I bought it.
That Brubeck record was the catalyst, and I've been a nut for jazz (and a huge fan of Brubeck) ever since. Thanks Don & Dave!
Cheers,
Bobbo :-)

No he would get something that had $1000s (retail anyway) put into new bearing, plinth, arm, you name it, and then report something like ... Damn what an Idiot I was, should have got one of these vintage tables long ago!

RE: "Strange visitor from a distant planet possessing abilities far beyond mortal man".* "Strange visitor...." : Ok, I'll buy that!
* "....from a different planet...." : It sure feels like it sometimes, doesn't it?
* "....possessing abilities far beyond mortal man." : Apparently UPS hasn't delivered the TD160 yet, otherwise you would say differently! (I wish I could have done more to it, but.....)
