Here's a pic of my current Gates CB-77 project. I've gone through the whole deck and cleaned, adjusted and lubed everything. The plinth is Douglas Fir with a mahogany removable tonearm mounting block. The arm is a Schick 12" and the headshell is a new design made of slate by Oswalds Mill. For now I'm using a Rubato copper mat. All that's left is to mount and set the cartridge. 1st on deck is a Zu-DL103. That's all for now gotta finish it up and hear it sing.

Life is analog...digital is just samples thereof
Very nice.I hope you enjoy the Schick arm.I'm waiting for mine.
I like the looks!!!
I do see the crack on the right side. Just for anyone else, doing projects in the future: This crack occured becasue wood expands across grain but not in length as moisture increases. You can usually get away with a few inch of cross grain gluing, but not much more. This fact can also tear apart joins. Makes woodworking more interesting than it would seem.
cool as heck! please post your evaluation of the sound after you listen. thanks for sharing this inspiring work.

That looks beautiful - very impressive work.
Do you have a shot with the artwork on the wall? It's looks very interesting from the little bit we can see.
That's just a mirror.
Beautiful work! I'm sure you're excited to hear it sing.
