A little tough to solder. Technically, the enamel from the individual strands needs to be removed. Lots of ways to do it, from careful scraping with a razor edge to using a solder pot. I believe the solder pot is Cardas' recommended method. But whatever works.

I didn't know that.
Any other ideas you might share on how to remove the enamel?
I don't have a solder pot.
These wires are thin, therefore even a real hot soldering tool will "burn" the "litz" enamel off. I've also used light sandpaper.
You should consider that Cardas tonearm wires take a relatively long time to break-in, with a distinct sound all there own.

Does the enamel burn and melt off or go up in smoke?
I have a Hakko soldering station and a Hakko desoldering gun.
Perhaps tinning the litz with the desoldering gun which is very hot, then suck it all up?
