I just ordered the Okki Nokki. I have been using the Spin Clean and it does ok but I have always wondered about rubbing the wash back into the grooves. For anyone who also has this, do you use their cleaning solution or do you use something else/better? I saw one video clip where the user uses their solution but adds 25% isopropyl alchohol and he claims that is the best mix. I'm looking forward to vacuuming the residue rather than wiping it.

I've only used Spin Clean, and then MoFi Super Deep and Olly's once I went vacuum cleaning. I recommend Olly's and then a Distilled Water rinse cycle.
Search the asylum for more on Olly's and PM me if you'd like the distributor's email. For not much money, you can get a bottle of concentrate that'll make many 16 oz. bottles of cleaning fluid once mixed with distilled water (or your favorite lab grade water).
See ya. Dave
Quite a few years ago I bought 2 litres of Isopropanol through my pharmacy and experimented with different amounts of isopropanol in all sorts of DIY concoctions and found the the iosopropanol made no noticeable differences when it came to cleaning thrift store finds that needed soaking for a few minutes. Dumped the isopropanol and my homebrew solutions and settled on OLLYS OCRVC solution which contains no alcohol and have never looked back as it was the best record cleaning solution I had stumbled upon. Try some good homebrew mixtures but IMHO forget the isopropanol, waste of money.
YMMV.

Interesting ... I think I'll leave the ISO out on my next home brew batch.
ISO is not really expensive though ... it's dirt cheap.
However I'm curious to know how my home brew would work w/out the ISO.
If you understand, things are just as they are; if you do not understand, things are just as they are.

2 litres of isopropanol costs $50.00, better spent on good vinyl.
I'de be interested to see what you think of your homebrew without the isopropanol when you get around to test it.

I purchased an Okki Nokki a few weeks ago and I too was using a spin clean.
I diluted the spin clean fluid about 20 to 1 and so far results have been good. I rinse with Aquafina as I have read here before.
Most of the records I play are basically new or have been cleaned in my spin clean, I have not cleaned many old records yet, just most of the new jazz because that is what I have been listening to lately.
let me know if the alcohol added works better
