No, that's not me. Wow. I can only assume that was posted by the people selling the amp.
Thanks for this link, I'll read up on it.
...they would've been sensing that the amp had real collector value. Why would they then sell it at an estate sale? Especially since they said that they were taking offers and would sell it in December.

My guess is that the lady who ran the estate sale posted here to find out about it. The sale ran for three days and she didn't have a price on the amp, she wanted bids. She knew it wasn't junk, but she didn't want to deal with selling it online. Told me she'd been burned by the ebay/PayPal system before.I was the last man standing and hauled it off at the end of the sale.
That's the story, I have the amp now. And, it is December.

Well congrats and now let's here your review!!!
odd amp.

I remember that because how many Williamson amps have I seen - ONE!
Well, there must be at least 99 of them. Both the power supply unit and the amp I have have matching serial numbers of 99.
I appreciate all the input, thanks.
So I guess my chances of finding another one for a stereo setup aren't exactly great?
....but then again, with a nice, early, Klipschorn, VOT, or WE speaker, you would have one hell of a mono system. Stereo is for wimps. What a great holiday present you got there.
It's an English amp, it needs to be mated with a Tannoy coaxial speaker.

The Tannoy is a great choice, however, Goodmans Axiom 80 drivers or one of the many Wharfdale systems would also do. Of course a classic Loather system might also be interesting. i am partial to the Loather Hegemony reproducers due to the shear insanity of the design, but a single Wharfdale W90 would be killer in a mono system.

It was an old TV/audio repairman's home. Felt really weird rummaging through a lifetime of accumulated stuff that now nobody wanted. I hauled of hundreds of tubes (nothing special, just a few picks among the bunch) just to save them from the trash. Got a few vinyl albums, some tools. Much went into the dumpster. Lots of small parts, pots, screws, connectors, I just didn't have room or need for. Kinda sad, really.
