I'm using 300 watt VTL mono amps with my SL stats. :)

Most of the dynamic grunt comes from the two powered subs but,it will definitely provide a more dynamic midrange on certain material..Your Soundlabs go down to 28hz or 35hz? My Acoustat model 4s used to go down to 28hz and the bass was amazing especially with the servo amps.

Most of the dynamic grunt comes from the two powered subsI beg to differ. There's lots of dynamic punch to be found well above the first two octaves.

I get in room response flat to just under 30 hz with my full range stats. No need for three way crossovers.

I know that there is dynamics in the midrange as that's where 80% of your music comes from..I was just saying that much of the heavy dynamics comes from the bass region. The speaker panels are rated down to 55hz by themselves but they sound like they go much lower because of their size.

Panel size is everything. The CLX area is 490 sq in for the top and 656 sq in for the bottom for a total of 1146 sq in.
By comparison, the U-1PX radiating area is 2350 sq in.
