It looks to me like it doesn't go with the radio. It is to pretty to be made to not see. It also looks like it is a fairly sophisticated PP amp. Also not what you usually see. It does use older tube types, so I might be wrong.

Mikey,It's an EH Scott 800B but it appears to be in a cabinet that once held something else or it was a lower end cabinet at the time.
The 800B is normally seen with a turntable in a real nice mahogany cabinet or art cabinet as those radio/phonos were for the more wealthy.
The amp was in the cabinet along with a 15" two way Jensen field coil speaker.
The amp is a dual purpose chassis because the cans on top of the chassis are the coils for the radio.

Wow! that sounds like a killer combination! I am going to look much more carefully at old consoles. That turntable is the same Garrard that my father had.

It didn't come in that cabinet..He said it was not uncommon back in the day for people to expose those chrome chassis because it was a symbol of wealth.
