I was going to post that one to but I wasn't sure what the poster meant when he said he was running the NSX-1000s..Was he running them full range with the 57s or just the woofers of the cabinets along with the 57s..At any rate it sounded very good.

Yes that was confusing. Great sound and he listed what he used to record with as well.

IMHO, pales in comparison to Dusty's...
Just my opinion, mind you. Love the setup, though.

I love Dusty. The point of my post was more Quad 57 but with really sick audio quality.

Yeah, I know. But, that Krall version kinda killed the song, for me. So no matter what kinda stereo... what is on the turntable makes a difference.
It's just me.

I didnt think it was that bad. Vocals are only a part of the recording too. Are you an anti Krall? I own none of her albums and she is overvplayed by philes but Im not antiET

But, if you are going to cover that song --- supremely done by Dusty --- better have something different going on in the new version. I mean the vocal AND the sax and trumpet soloes are outrageous in the 1967 song.Ok... ok... I have to admit I'm a Dusty Springfield fan. So, maybe I'm a little more critical of songs that cover her work.
