I just pulled a Lafayette tube EL84 received out the basement of my mother's house. We are clearing it to sell and I had left it there years ago. It still works but is a bit noisy. It is due for new filter capacitors. I will most like change everything when I get it apart. It is really a nice looking receiver. It was made in Japan, so I'm guessing mid-60's.

AFAIK.
Pretty decent stuff.
Here's one, for example. This one was definitely a Kenwood. Kenwood, in those days, was known as TRIO in Japan and throughout most of the world (not to be confused with some 1960, US-made harman/kardon components with the "Trio" model designation!).
all the best,

I hate to say it, but it still resides in my basement storage. I only tried the FM quickly in the thrift store with some cheap speakers to see if it worked, as I was scared to leave it on due to its age. It only cost $20 if I recall, and the 7591 tubes are Japanese. The picture above is from the internet. Mine has a brown case.
Hi Mark,
Yep, that is my receiver. I have some Kenwood speaker where the drivers are marked Trio.
