That could do it. It is probably a grounding issue. You should check with a multimeter. You might need to touch up a solder joint.

I had the tonearm rewired a couple of months age. I think that's the culprit. It only happens in the phono mode! It has happened with three different amp combos! The only constant is the phono!
Loose leads and RCA cover sheath
That would do it. Hums usually are grounding issues.
