Steve
I'm not sure what caps to use. If there are oil caps in there I may not change caps. I will probably go with KBGs possibly.

Have you ever had one of these JBL crossovers apart? Yours appear to be the same style crossovers as my JBL Sovereign. The can that encloses the components on mine appear to be pop riveted to the front cover. I have not worked up the courage to drill out the rivets to see whats inside!
I would love to know what's in them.

Thanks! I'm going crack open that L300. Pretty sure it's OEM stuff.
We'll see...
The L300s are a gorgeous speaker and you are one lucky dawg.

Michael, since your JBL-075 bullet tweeters go down to 2.5 khz, try bypassing stock N-2600 crossover & use a simple 1% Dayton 6.8uf polyprop for tweet x-over. Mid-range clarity will be enhanced, along with tightening bass response from those classique JBL-D-130s(Daytons will also help minimize any treble stridency). Am utilizing that simple auld-skool x-over with Mesa/Celestion MC-90/dynaudio D-28AF tweet speakers, which sound magical-n-musical. Not only will your JBL C-36s' musical auld-skool alnico robustness be unleashed, they'll sound dyno-myte with home theatre presentation, too. 73s para Sactown
I have some of the Audiophiler 6.8uf caps already but they are 3%..Those should work, right?

Only one way to find out, Michael (;{) Mod one speaker, then compare it to stock. Difference is usually quite impressive. 73s para Sactown
