I just inherited:
Citation I my father assembled from a kit.
Citation II my father assembled from a kit. Unfortunately, the condition is a bit rough. Apparently he had mice living in his stereo cabinet. Gold Lion KT88's with very very low hours.
Another Citation I preamp that was factory-assembled and never used. New, in original box with original warranty card, bag, dessicant, whatever. The box has been opened from the bottom to confirm contents, but the top of the box has never been opened. This classic preamp has never been plugged in, never been powered up. All panels and knobs are, of course, perfect. Condition of old capacitors etc. is unknown after all these years. All tubes are of course original and unused. No wooden cabinet.
I have not yet decided what to do with any of these.
Follow Ups:
Sell the as new one on eBay. You may be able to completely fund the resto of the other two pieces. Make a great ad with lots of photos and a detailed description. All the tubes should test good but test them anyway so you can say they are tested. Depending on the brand you might make more selling them separately. You could then sell the pre with a basic set of new tubes. There are guys here known for Citation restoration. They'll upgrade them to better than when new.

The Citation I faceplates in good condition are a rare thing. I was wondering whether it belonged in a museum.
The Gary R. Howland basement listening room museum. Free admission to Asylum members with advanced notice. :)
