Suggest posting what you have and defining if you want to keep them as true as possible to original or maximizing their performance. I believe there are specific individuals who are more qualified to work on specific units than others. Early on I had several pieces of vintage gear brought back into running condition by competent individuals, but they certainly didn't optimize the items performance. My 2 cents.

I understand that you don't like the idea of shipping your gear, but you may be better off having the restoration work done right the first time by somebody like Mike Samra. If your local tech.doesn't do the work properly, you may then have to ship the gear and have to pay twice for the same work.Ask me how I know that...
I was going to recommend Samara because he does such great work, but I didn't know what type of equipment he had. And I just didn't know if he had something specific that there is a known guru on. But you are right. Getting it done by someone that has a solid reputation is invaluable over someone local who can just get the gear running. But having the knowledge on what specific replacement components to use in specific locations in the circuit and changes is so important and only comes from years of experience - which people like Samara and others have. Do it right the first time pays off.
Again, I think if you post what you have you can get some good recommendations from the Asylum Members on possible folks that can help you.
Pilot SA-260
Pair of bell amps I know they run on 6V6 21?? have to look to be sure
Dynaco MK IV a pair of course
Lets stop there see what you guys come up with.
I am running the Pilot now, want to get the MK IV's running smooth but keep in original shape. I have already bought a pair of quad caps and a friend sent me a set of boards but they have to be stuffed new boards and stuffing he just felt that the MK IV's are such an easy job that he cant believe there is not a local guy who cant take care of that. I will see going to go hunting to a few shops see how they act. Too bad my friend is 3000 miles away or they would be on his table right now. He did some work for me in the past excellent work I must say.
Found the person, just what I was looking for someone who has been at this for a long time and loves doing the work listened to some of the amps he worked on from another guy who told me about him. Finally After the holiday weekend I will get the amps to him and get the work done thanks for all the help. Start with two amps and go from there.
