I've found the Sanyo's to be a hidden treasure. I've had two Sanyo's of different eras and both were exceptionally good in sound and quality.
Even during the 80's, the decade of cheap crap, they did maintain a quality sound that was for the most part - better then the big names of the 70's.
Follow Ups:
When I bought the amp I knew nothing about vintage gear. What sold me was that it's an integrated (as opposed to a reciever) felt and looked solid and didn't have any goofy gimmicks on it. Very to the point little amp in looks and sound. A treasure indeed and ranks up there with the pair of Altec Lansing 887a Capri I found for about the same price at another swapmeet. I really need to get back into treasure hunting it's so much fun.
Finding those little jewels is what this hobby is all about.
Enjoy it and keep looking for more hidden goodies.
