All OEM, as far a I can tell. Date stamps match serial number birthday. Old Astron filter caps have pimples. Will need replacing. I haven't gotten around to measuring the B+ and anode voltages.I believe many woody and tweed era Fender amps used off the shelf trannies. My 1949 Champion has Triad irons. The Model 26 I once owned had Merit Coil & Transformer.
Fender didn't go to Schumacher, exclusively, until the early 1960s. And you will see mixed Triad and Schumacher in early brown & blackface amps.

I would also worry about that red "Astron" which connects the chassis to the line! If that one is shorted it won't benefit the longevity of the guitar player!
On the other hand it's so nice to look at as-is, do guitar guys re-stuff old capacitors? I've done it before with old radios, putting new electrolytics into the old cans for appearance sake.
Thinking about re-stuffing the old caps. Thing needs to be safe for use. Prolly get rid of that "death cap." Or at least take it out of the circuit. Gotta find a thin, old school style 3-prong outlet wire.
Yeah, could always just recap it and put the old ones into s zip lock bag for future reference. I like how simple it is.. did you do a frequency sweep on the speaker and see if it's still in good shape? May want to stow that away for safe keeping and use a "jensen" day to day
Was thinking the same thing, about the speaker. I have a Weber 6-inch alnico laying about.
These little amps can be such great tone makers. Hard to beat.
8^)
That appears to be a Permaflux speaker and is date code correct. Very nice amp!
