In the middle of a move and I have found that I own several tube testers. I have no desire or need to keep everything, so what are the general oponions of the following:
Eico 667
Knight 600b
Supreme 599
Thanks,
Ross

The Eico has the potential to be the best tester, it reads in Gm, the others are emissions testers with the Supreme being the oldest. They are all old enough they need to be checked and calibrated at best but probably need restoration before using.

If any of them read in direct gm, keep that one. If not, if any measure transcoductance instead of emmittance keep that one. If none do, keep the one you like using the best.
Knight will test anything (if it's a 600B or C), though it's "gas" test is of questionable value. Easy enough to test a tube that isn't on the chart if you have a good sample for comparison. But there is data for early and late tubes, few missing. The so-called "dynamic conductance of the EICO does not really correlate with transconductance, but SHOULD be better than simple emission test. Data should be readily available.
The Supreme may have limited test data - and does it even have a 9-pin socket?

That's what I was thinking on the Supreme. Odd size roll chart with no newer tubes on it or newer sockets.

I have a Hickok 539b but I'm leery of it on larger tubes because it puts only 150vdc on a 6550 between plate and cathode where the TT-1 puts 275vdc between plate and cathode. The 539 does have neat features tho like noise testing a dual triode with an AM radio.

That is a great tester. I have a Precision 10-12 that is interesting.
