ADS being an East coast speaker has a taken a lot of cues from AR if I had to make a analysis...Even the dome midrange and tweeters that the AR3 and the 810 uses has a uniqueness to its sound like onto their self.

I believe that the importer took over the company, but I could be mistaken. There's only so many ways to make dome mids and tweeters, but I'm pretty sure Braun/ADS designed their drivers from the ground up.

That is correct and that's why the ADS used mostly all Braun drivers. We take it for granted about the dome mids and tweeters today but AR really is the one of the real pioneers of that dome type. AAMOF, Jim McShane's uncle Chuck was the one that designed the eyeball dispersion on the midrange driver of theirs.
