I am trying to figure out what it is all about? That man allegedly offers high quality vintage turntables (and other products), but every turntable I want to look at (Pioneer, Garrard, Micro, Dual, Luxman etc.) is accompanied by the statement "This product is currently not available".
Why offer them if they are not available?

I went to thier web site - What a Shit site!
Will build a Web site for food comes go mind.
They list the top quality items as bait such as Leak, Audio Research, Thorens, and others, and then tell you "currently unavailable".

those are search engine hooks. An old but very cheap trick.Hey, I'm getting my tubes today. The KT-66 for the ST-70 and two more Gold Lion B759/aka 12AU7's for the sherwood front end.
I'll be putting them in at Christmas. So I'll let you know how they stack up against the RCA black plates that are in there right now.

That is because they are all in my listening room. (2 Garrards, 6 Pioneers, 3 Duals, one Luxman, etc.)

:) Lucky you are!
Some of the others such as the Thorens direct you to add to cart to see shipping costs but what gets added are Shahinian Diapason speakers. Personally, I'd be leery of this site. I've used www.audioclassics.com for vintage repairs on my Mcintosh gear and they are awesome in that area. Richard Modaferri did the mods on my MX1100 and it sounds awesome I've not bought from them but given my experience would be comfortable doing so. They sell vintage gear, grade it for you, and have a wide selection of turntables. You may want to give them a look.

It has performed flawlessly since and sounds fantastic (I really like the phono section). Sent them my MC225 as well. Highly recommended.
For years I've been a little Leary of that site myself. As mentioned above. Go to audio classics.
You will get what you paid for with no "tricks".
Honest bunch of guys. And the equipment does come with some sort of guarrente.
Yes, I looked at them many times but didn't contact them as I don't have any MAC equipment in which they specialize.
Good and reliable source, I believe.
I would not hesitate using them for gear that is not mcintosh. Look at what they offer and if questions contact them via email or phone.
