That is quite a find! I is a very good turntable and is quite rare in the US. What cartridge does it have on it? You should post on the Vinyl Asylum. You are more likely to get someone familiar with it.
Vinylengine has the manuals (http://www.vinylengine.com/library/kenwood/kd-770.shtml).

Did download last night the Information from Vinyl Engine! Again as always thanks for your help! The Cartridge must be an Ortofon. Can not really tell where the Cartridge ends & the Stylus begins? But the Left side reads OM 20 While on the right side it reads Ortofon. On top of the Stylus tip it has a red oval. Here's a picture from the WEB! Have you used
there Cartridges before? Will be posting on the Vinyl Asylum as well!
The cart is good so if your going to replace the stylus think about a 30 or 40. That arm can certainly put it to use.
Those are good but if you want to go better, the arm will be able to handle it.

Well Dave @ $198.00 for a genuine Ortofon replacement Stylus I do not plan to play just any Records let alone upgrade the stylus just yet!
You should be able to get a worthy cartridge for less than that. The arm looks like medium to low medium mass. What cartridges have you liked in the past? Maybe you already have something that would work.
