Just curious about the loose tube sockets. The output tube sockets have always been loose for me and never had a problem until now. Do any of you think this could be something else like the cold solder joints mentioned or a resistor starting to go? I just wonder as to why it only happens after a 30-40 min period of time and never right away if its a loos tube socket.

It may be that it just takes that long to heat up. When things heat up, they expand, so after heating up they may be getting just that much looser.
99% of the time the problem you are hearing is a bad pin socket.
You can start looking for the more difficult causes AFTER you have eliminated the obvious.
Consider the professional restoration if you really want to go that route.
