David - I checked out you systems page. Question: Did you need an adapter to keep the Sony Trinitron TV going after the government decided that digital was better than analogue?
Follow Ups:
There is a DVI digital input as one of the inputs on the TV. I have a cord that is HDMI on one end and DVI on the other. I have a digital tuner built into a combo DVD and VHS recorder I have from Toshiba. Technically the TV is digital ready but lacks a digital tuner, which the Toshiba DVD recorder supplies.Works fine...the top resolution the TV will do is 1080i Not as sharp as a current 1080p flat pannel, but the people who have seen it like the picture, which has the look of real film at a non-digital theater. The TV has worked perfectly for over 10 years now, dating from 2005.
That Trinitron is something to keep an eye out for in the thrift stores. You could probably get it for $20, because most people would not know that it would still work. A hunting we will go!
