A friend of ours in MA found these on the curb on his daily perambulation a couple of weeks ago. Called me on his cell phone, he did. "Want 'em?" He asked. "Why not?" I replied.
He & his wife brought 'em up a couple of days later.
They do work and they sound -- well, not bad actually. Not exactly dynamic (at least compared to what I am used to), but inoffensive and fairly pleasant tonally. They do have issues with the "EQ" switches on the front panel. This seems like a common problem in these based on a quick googlage (I haven't pursued the issue too much yet as I've been too busy lately with other things).
In fairness to the "dynamics" comment -- right now they're hooked to a what I'd consider a medium-powered soiled state amp; an HH Scott LK-60. They'd probably be happier with a couple of hundred watts each... but we don't do that here.

My first good speakers in 1981 were a pair of CM1020s (the smaller brothers of these, still have them in the basement, tho' need some work). The cabinets were built by a grandfather clock company, woofers by Heppner (sp?), and Peerless tweets. Over on Audiokarma, a fellow named Jeff Mackwood (JeffMackwood) is kind of an authority on these CM-series Kosses.Mark in NC

High power is a commitment on many levels....
Nice find-
Happy Listening
These are roughly 35 years old and need some attention, but are built quite nicely. They won't sound correct until you replace all the old NPE caps and any of the broken toggle switches. Working properly they're very listenable, and should be quite dynamic.

Just because you didn't know about it, doesn't mean it's a secret.
I doubt they were much seen in Australia! ;-)
