Tuners and cassette decks are all but worthless now. I own some of the best ones ever made, which I have paid next to nothing for. Fixing them to flip is not worth it. Fixing them to use is very worth it (IMO!).

Follow Ups:
So I noticed. We're a long way from the mid-60s when the Marantz 10B debuted at $650 and all but bankrupted the company. That piece of classic audio gear still commands ridiculous prices, three times its initial retail for one in mint condition.
I'd like to get my hands on one of them, but my Scott 350D is a very good tube tuner. It is FM only, but there is nothing on AM worth listening to around me.
