There was certainly no FM back then. It may have had shortwave AM bands, and possibly longwave (lower frequency than the AM broadcast band, used for maritime communications).
MW = medium wave (as opposed to short wave). Longer wavelengths, lower frequencies, what we'd call today "AM".
It's wonderful to see one working like that.
Dang I was going to guess 150-200 at first and then thought how much money that was and lowered it. Little did I know......And two globe 45's in push pull-cool!
