Picked up a real clean 330B at GW a while back. Completely recapped it,doubling the power supply capacitance. Connected to a pair of Altec 887A Capri speakers, it sounds VERY good. I use it daily and it is on most all day, mostly for FM.
I've been it using for about 6 months and all good... Until I get up 2 days ago and switch it on and get no output. Dammit! I get the usual turn on thump and then nothing. No output on any input source.
Does anyone have any clues as where to start trouble shooting?
TIA

Follow Ups:
Harman offered a system including small H-K speakers and Garrard turntable with the 330B. I got one of those for my girlfriend back in the '70s. That was quite a decent sounding little system.
The 330B may not have been up to the standard of the H-K 430 but still a nice unit. And many people felt the 430 was the "sweet spot" in the H-K lineup at that time.
So good luck with your sleuthing out the problem.

It seems the amp is OK (yeah!). I connected the pre-outs to an external amp and speakers. Still no output. It looks like it could well be the monitor switch or the speaker switch. I'll jump them out next. Seems odd that switches that never get used could suddenly fail.

Glad to hear this is somewhat of a simple, and cheap, fix.
BTW, a GREAT little stereo

Check spks-1 and speakers -2 buttons (if it has those like the 330c). Do you have the right speaker button pressed?
I fixed a receiver that did have a dead speaker select switch. It happens!
That switch should be cleaned too.

Do the panel lamps light up? If not, you may have just popped a fuse. If not then it could require some detailed troubleshooting. The lack of output on all settings could indicate an amp issue.
Be sure to "exercise" all the switches a few times to make sure they all make good contact.
Last (please don't be insulted) it IS plugged in, right?
The panel lights are on. Everything appears normal, just no output. I also suspect an amp problem. Seems odd that both channels output devices would have failed at the same time. Was hoping someone new of a problem relay or such to head me in the right direction. There are no turn on delay relays.
SS circuits are a bitch for me. Tubes are much easier to trouble shoot.

If I remember, on those models, the output transistors are easy to get to with out removing anything.
Check the basic ECB voltages to schematic - it they are there?
Any yes - thumps seem to be "not a nice thing.
Post your findings.

I have done this before. Also sometimes this switch gets corroded, needs repeated switching on and off to recover function.
Tape monitor switch is also likely to get dirty, since they are not used that much these days.

Doubled the PSU capacitance, you said. I think Mr. McShane is onto something, with the failed fuse suggestion. Add a NTC inrush current limiting thermistor on the primary side of that SS unit's power trafo.

Thanks Eli. If I get it fixed I will and an inrush limiter. Good insurance.

But, I don't see how you can get a "power up thump" with a
blown fuse....
1. Do you get any output at the headphone jack?
2. Does this receiver have preamp out main in plugs in back, those are often problematic tho I would expect one channel not both would be dead. If you have these it would be easy to check if you are getting any output at the pre-amp level.
The most common problem area, however, given your symptoms, is an issue with the tape monitor switch.
