So, mono radio and stereo phono. I'm NOT a fan of those changers and record damaging piezoelectric cartridges. JMO, replace with the changer something better, like Technics, Pioneer, BIC ... and a modest MM cartridge. Jim Hagerman's Bugle 2 takes care of the phono preamp issue.
DIYer extraordinaire S. Bench provides a MPX adapter, should you want to add FM stereo.

I looked at a schematic I found and yes the amp is mono. I had a Saba that was a stereo amp/mono tuner.

We agree on the phono. I put a Garrard Lab 80 in my last Telefunken. I used a hole saw and sabre saw to cut the sliding board on which it is mounted. Not sure what I'll do here phono-wise. Needs an eye tube. Cheap on the bay.On my Magnavox mono I took out the Collaro and only a linear tracker would fit due to size so a Technics is there. Have a good weekend Eli.
