As many have already posted, they routinely go higher on ebay, and this one is likely to go higher as well.
Noting that this unit is still sporting the shorting caps and level adjust caps on the back, the lettering on the face looks good, and the tube shields are all present, it shows external signs of being complete and in good condition; though not necessarily original.
I've bought and sold many of these over the years. Depending on the selling price, one can possibly buy one and enjoy it a while, and then recoup the investment or perhaps even realize a gain on resale.
I like the sound of them; subjective and personal, of course, though they are reasonably well-regarded. I also have always loved the style of Marantz gear of this vintage - classic and timeless.

You can't discount the looks. There are preamps that copy the circuit, but nothing is visually stunning like the Marantz 7!

I think the Marantz 7/7C look like what a pre-amp should look like, and the Model 10B is, to my mind, the most iconic image of what a tuner should look like. Though I love the more utilitarian but still classic looks of the Model 5 and 8B amps, the Model 9 is also, for me, an iconic archetype of what amps should look like.
Even now, around 50 years (or more) later, I see a lot of amps (among other things - witness even power conditioners from Monster, Panamax, and APC) that ape the Model 9 aesthetic - though clean and functional, also just plain right.
I think reasonable minds could differ about the SLT-12 and 12U, though from a purely stylistic perspective, they worked for me - echoing the 'one knob' appearance of the 10B and, really, crossing new ground in user interface design for a turntable.
I agree wholeheartedly! When I look at the Passlab amps, I see echoes of the Model 9. Marantz set in motion the high-end phenomenon in audio, and still has influence today.
