So Dave,
If I understand, I can split my RCA line out signal from the tv and feed the sub and the magnavox tube amp/ front speakers at the same time. then I set the sub hz level and volume. However, I have to adjust sub volume every time I adjust front speaker volume?
Thanks

Does you TV control the volume? If you split the signal out to the sub before the volume control the volume of the subwoofer will not go up and down with you main speakers.
Dave
I did as you suggested and split the signal, after my in line volume pot. Sub is rolled in at about 80hz, still playing with that...adds a lot to TV shows.

Looks like you've got it!
Dave
No, tv does not control audio out volume. However, Could i put the splitter after the inline volume contol?
