Ah. I live nearby in Stratford, CT and I look at at craigslist at least once every day. I totally missed that one. There was a pair of Dunlavy speakers in another part of the state that I missed out on yesterday, but the search is fun and I can't complain, I've done well. Last week I managed to get a McIntosh MX-110 X for $300 but it is far from pristine and being that it's an X not a Z version I have no illusions of it ever being worth much more than I paid for it but it will be a fun project and I should end up with a nice sounding tube preamp/tuner for much less than the going rate.

I've had countless scores over the years. One of the best was this stack ...
...for a grand. The Brystons were two 4B-ST and three 7B-ST. That was a good day.
As I was packing all of that into my MINI (!!!), another buyer pulled into the drive. That was uncomfortable !
Happy hunting.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
That was certainly a nice score.
I try to keep this hobby sane(=low budget) and I like to fix things so I look for opportunities to pick up things cheap that might need a little work.
Let me know if you are short of storage space for any of those Brystons. I'd be glad to help you out. :)
