paper-cone wide-range low driver with stamped steel frame, much the same as Utah used. Notes that the stamped steel frame dissipates energy much more efficiently than those (expensive) cast frames (but Utah knew that too).

Yeah, yeah. Look at how so cool it looks. Totally retro, Marantz, maybe early Citation. EL34 output tubes. I'll bet tube rolling's a blast with it. Got to get the speakers with the wheat grills, just like the old AR's & KLH.
I'll be it sounds so sweet.
Damn, I wish I had money for toys.
Actually it has EL84 output tubes. Also paper cones in a bamboo cabinet does not sound very much like an LS3/5A to me. However, that does not mean it is not a great sounding unit. I sure someone on the Asylum will give it a try and post. It does look interesting, and if they designed it properly, the price is very reasonable.

I agree. 90db sensitivity doesn't sound like the LS3/5A either. Maybe they just mean it has the same mid-bass hump.
I think it is more like a nod to the LS35A as setting the standard for small monitors.
I would like to see the amp topless to see what transformers and components they are using.... I like the looks and the modern functions of it too.
Hi,
I hope I am not breaking any rulesby posting a link to another discussion site.
A discussion of the design, including a fair few photos and info on the design itself is over at Head-Fi:

There are some reviews, including ones with extensive picture features. But the unit is still very new and went for a soft launch, so it will take some time. One for example (originally from Poland) is here:

More will be coming. Any questions, please either post at our Facebook page, at HeadFi or with an e-mail via our website.
BTW, I am using it myself and yes, I had a hand in designing this:

At 20 bits, you are on the verge of dynamic range covering fly-farts-at-20-feet to untolerable pain. Really, what more could we need?
You freak, and a Bottlehead @ that.

hahaha!! Well, since you put it that way, my prefence would be bottomless!
I need to update my profile!
I had to get rid of a large protion of my old gear, divorces are not cheap!
I sold my Paramours, and I wished I hadn't. The guy ended up flipping them, saying, "they didn't sound good". My guess he probably used them with some 87db speakers.
I am slowly building up another system, I tend to enjoy "building up from scratch", and applying the things I have learned!
