There are a lot of Classical and Jazz radio stations from Germany and Portugal and Austria that play nice high quality music and in analog as well.

Sure, but I'm a radio nerd. I like listening to Hams on 80,40,20,17,15 and 10 meters. You'll want/need one w/BFO as 99% of hams using voice (phone) are side band. There is plenty of short wave broadcasts from many many countries on the many bands. Wiki link below has the bands listed although I don't agree with all their comments about each band.
