I got 3 gold lion tubes out of one of those wap2 preamps I got for 15 bucks! two 12ax7 and one 12au7 i believe.
(I know your whereabouts, Mike)
I'm in Chicago but opportunities (cheap or freebees) for tube anything are almost impossible to find... I'd love some flea market finds and such things. Really, the only place worth wasting any time on these days is epay.
Radu.
I live in the Maryland Suburbs of DC, and low priced or free tube gear is as rare as hen's teeth. Good transistor gear is getting scarce too. There are lots of fantastic CD's for a $1 so I still keep coming back!
