I would be happy with one type! There are subs, bat as you have said before, it is only a matter of time.

There is a way, without New Sensor or any other maker acting. The method may not be to everybody's liking, but "any port in a storm" is my thinking.
The HIFI circuits we're talking about have 1 socket/channel and employ a pentode voltage amplifier DC coupled to a triode "concertina" phase splitter. In situations where another socket can't be added, use an EF86 as the voltage amplifier and a DC coupled ZVN0545A enhancement mode MOSFET as the "concertina" phase splitter. Even the wimpiest of tubes, like the 12AX7 and EF86, drive the TINY capacitances of the little FET easily.
Be pragmatic! Better to add a little "sand" to the mix than allow good equipment to become inoperative.

That is to me a very cleaver solution, and much better than letting the equipment sit on a shelf. The only other alternative is a redesign. Fortunately for Dynaco owners, Uncle Ned and other vendors have them covered. No such solutions for my Scott 222D. It is good to know that I will halve a way of keeping it going.
